Great Expectations

Matthew 11 is a chapter about expectations. Jesus asks people what they expected to see when they went to see John in the desert. John asks Jesus if he is really the messiah because Jesus apparently isn't living up to his expectations of what the Messiah should be doing. Through this, we see a good lesson on how we often expect things from God, rather than relying on what He gives us.
