The story of Mephibosheth (muh·fi·buh·sheth) is an interesting and often overlooked story from the book of Second Samuel which paints a wonderful picture of Christ's redemption of us from our sins, as well as our Adoption as Children of the King. Mephibosheth was cursed because of his position as heir to the throne in a family which fought against God's Anointed King. Mephibosheth himself was cursed by going into hiding in the wilderness, and his becoming crippled in his escape.
