With All Your Heart

Our Gospel Lesson this week covers Jesus final confrontation with the religious leaders seeking to undermine his ministry and work. Throughout Chapter 22 of Matthew, Jesus shreds the arguments of the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, Herodians, and all the enemies who came opposing his teaching. Before Jesus closes with one final rebuke of the Pharisees, he teaches them the importance of Loving God with All Your Heart. They had greatly confused Knowing about God with Knowing God, and lost their love.
