The story of Jesus healing the 10 lepers with only one returning is not only a wonderful lesson on the truths of giving thanks, but deep down, it is a wonderful picture both of the Gospel and of the problems which so many have with understanding their sin. Without Christ, we simply can't feel how sin rots our spiritual condition and nature, in the same way lepers can't feel how their body is hurt as their nerves are destroyed.
